"Promising Young Woman" Goes Under the Knife: Get Cheap Tix to Our Screening

The students become the masters at Film School, a one-of-a-kind screening series.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this screening has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. We will let you know when Film School resumes in the near future!

On the second Monday of each month, a diverse array of young people will present an exciting new release at Luna Cinemas in Leederville, WA and kick off a post-movie discussion with special guests.

Presented by Student Edge, Film School gives up-and-coming critics a voice... and that includes those in the audience as well! High schoolers* and university/VET students are invited to come along, mix with fellow cinema-lovers and share their own hot takes on the movie of the month. Student Edge members even get discounted tickets: $12 at the door or $13.50 online!

The next session will be an advance screening of the delicious new revenge flick Promising Young Woman, starring Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham, on Monday 13 April.

This event will be hosted by Student Edge members Teale Reynolds and Hannah Terpsis, along with Student Edge critic Caitlin Paroczai. Together they'll discuss this wild new picture, which comes from visionary director Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve).

Don't miss out on this advance screening. Get your tickets here!

Members can select the 'Student Edge' option when you follow the link to buy tickets at Luna. You'll just have to show your Student Edge App or card at the box office to book or collect discounted tickets.

*Please note Luna Leederville is a fully licensed venue and it is a requirement that under-18s must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.

Caitlin Paroczai

Hey, I’m Caitlin! I’m a Writer here at Student Edge, regularly reviewing films and reporting on the latest pop culture news. I also host Student Edge’s podcast You Have To Stan. I’m super excited to be on a Student Edge Film School Panel because I think it’s so important for young people to have a voice. Plus, who doesn’t love chatting about movies?

Teale Reynolds

Hi, I’m Teale! I’m a recent English and Cultural studies graduate and major film enthusiast. My interest in film developed during my high school media classes and grew even further when I then started working at my local cinema. I am now excited to take my love of film to the next level with Student Edge’s Film School Panel.

Hannah Terpsis

Hey! I'm Hannah and I love all things film! I love horror movies most because I love being scared, but I'll watch almost anything. My interest in film started when I was a kid and has stayed with me right up to uni, where I currently study Screen Production. Overall, I am excited to be able to discuss movies with like-minded people at the upcoming panels.
