Prince Just Sneakily Announced An Australian Tour (And Oh Snap, It's This Month)

If you were hoping not to freak out this Friday, you’re super out of luck.

Update:: And here are the dates! Prince will play four shows at Arts Centre Melbourne's State Theatre on February 16 and 17, followed by two shows at Sydney's State Theatre on February 21. He will play New Zealand for the first time in his career on February 24, at Auckland's ASB Theatre.

Legendary musician and noted pancake-lover Prince decided to totally upend our day by announcing a tour of Australia and New Zealand, beginning sometime in February.

Meaning, Prince could arrive in Australia literally any day now. You might be seeing him perform live within the fortnight.

The announcement of his Piano & A Microphone tour was revealed via Twitter this morning.

He really is killing this social media thing!

By the name of the tour, you can probably expect a stripped-back show.

Though dates and locations have not yet become available, you better believe we’ll update this article when they do.

Prince’s last album, HITnRUN Phase Two, dropped in December of 2015. He last visited our shores in 2012.
