Prince Had The Kardashians Cut From His "New Girl" Episode

Prince has only been gone two weeks, and we still miss so, so much about him.

But at least we have Prince anecdotes to help us grieve.

The latest comes from Zooey Deschanel, who starred alongside Prince in an episode of “New Girl” (of which Prince was apparently a huge fan).

On Conan this week, Deschanel talked about filming a party scene with Prince, where real-life models and sportspeople rubbed elbows with, of all people, Winston, Nick and Schmidt.

However, Prince reportedly had no interest in cameos from the Kardashian clan. Over to Zooey.

“I’m not sure exactly how the celebrities for the party was chosen, but someone was friends with some of the Kardashians, and they had made a phone call and they had kindly come on to shoot a little kind of cameo part,” she said.

“I get there the day that Prince is supposed to arrive… and one of the PAs comes in and says, I need all of the… scripts. So she takes mine from me and takes everybody else’s.

“I walk outside and there is a bonfire; she’s burning all the scripts and the call sheets, and it turns out that someone from Prince’s camp said, ‘Like, who are the celebrities? I hope it’s not a Kardashian.’”

Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner actually went so far as to film a scene, but the sequence was nixed by Prince.

This has been your reminder that, in life, Prince had time for nobody’s nonsense. Game, blouses.
