If you’re the kind of person who watched the F1 movie and thought ‘you know what, I could probably do that’ – we have got the perfect activity for you.
PowerPlay has just opened up a new location in Welshpool, WA with a track that will have you feeling like you’re Oscar Piastri.
This new track uses electric go-karts which switch out the smell and loud noise of petrol go-karts for a cleaner and quieter, but just as fast, experience.

We hit the track to get the full racing experience and it definitely does not disappoint.
And if you feel like taking a break after burning some rubber, there's plenty of arcade games available to continue the competive energy off the track.
We also got to speak to PowerPlay CEO, Glenn Macneall. Glenn has taken part in more than 100 World Rally Championship events and said the use of electric karts at PowerPlay allowed for a less intimidating experience for first time racers.

“This is created from a passion for driving a competition and to try and make it as fun and as welcoming as possible to everybody,” Glenn told Student Edge.
PowerPlay is a joint venture between three-time Asia Pacific Rally Champion zhlenn Macneall, champion rally driver Dean Herridge and rally driver Brad Markovic, with the support and backing of Petbarn co-founder Jeff David.

Take your place on the podium after you win ...or lose.
Wanna get in on the action? Glenn said they plan to expand PowerPlay to all over Australia.
While driving fast cars might seem a little intimidating at first, Glenn assured us that the staff are all there to help you every step of the way, prioritising safety with all the fun of fast racing.

“Everybody thinks we sell go-karting. We don't.
“We sell the feeling you have when you get out of the go-kart. And while you're in the go-kart, you are literally switched off to the rest of the world because all you can do is focus on what you're actually doing.”
Student Edge was invited to experience PowerPlay.
