Pokémon Go Fixed Its Security Issue, So You Can Go To The Sydney Opera House’s Poké-Event Worry-Free

Here’s your daily Pokémon Go update.
Sick of finding only Zubats in your neighbourhood?
The Sydney Opera House feels your pain and is hosting a Pokémon Go event in its Forecourt on Monday afternoon.
According to its Facebook page, “the PokéStops around the Opera House will have lures on them to attract as many Pokémon as possible”.
As of this writing, 230 people have RSVP’d with an enthusiastic ‘yes’, and a further 650 are interested in attending.
Basically, tourists are going to have a hard time nearing the SOH’s steps on Monday, between 12pm and 2pm.
(Not in Sydney? Literally look outside your door and you're guaranteed to find some other Pokévent.)
For those who have been staying away from the smartphone sensation on account of the concerning “security issue” raised earlier in the week, developers Niantic have released a new update for iOS users that fixes account settings (initially, the app wrongly stated it could access personal information; no longer).
So go, throw Pokéballs with abandon!
