Do You Use Lucas' Papaw Ointment? Then You Should Probs Check If It's Been Recalled

This is not good news for the gorgeous, gorgeous girls.
If you're guilty of stashing more than a few little red tubes of Lucas' papaw goodness at the bottom of your handbag, firstly, you are not alone.
But secondly, you might wanna run the numbers on your lil gloopy goodies 'coz the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has recalled several batches.
The TGA, which in fancy terms is Australia's medicine and therapeutic regulatory agency, says multiple products are affected by "microbial contamination".
The TGA went on to say that the moulds and bacteria found in the batches popular papaw ointment "pose minimal risk to the greater population", but there "is a remote risk that individuals who are immunocompromised could become ill".
The following batches that expire between April and June 2025 are being recalled:
- Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment 15g Batch 00522D22, 00822E25, 00822E26, 00822E27, 00822F01, 00822F03, 00822F06, 00822E31
- Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment 75g Batch 00522E04, 00522E05
- Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment 200g Batch: 00822E30
You can check if yours are recalled by looking at the batch number on the 'crimp' at the top of the 15g tube or the bottom of the 75g or 200g containers (let's be real though, who has those?).
And if you've dug through all your half-used, half-squeezed tubes and your ointment is affected, stop using it immediately and return it to where you bought if for a refund.
