One Nation Senator Suggests Waleed Aly Condones Terrorism On "The Project"

The grammatically-defiant One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts has inspired a new controversy, this time for suggesting The Project’s Waleed Aly fails to condemn terrorism.
Roberts (aka Malcolm-Ieuan: Roberts.) was beamed onto The Project last night to comment on a recent poll that found 49 per cent of Australians support a ban on Muslim immigration into the country (a position backed by Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party).
During his segment, he said Australia had become “swamped” by Muslims, despite not being able to cite statistics indicating that was indeed the case.
Though Waleed Aly was absent for the night – and what a night to be absent – co-host Peter Helliar asked Roberts, “How far does it go?”
“Do we deport Muslims who are living here? Should the man who usually sits to my left, Waleed, be deported or relegated to breakfast TV in Syria? What are you suggesting?"
With Aly’s name evoked, Roberts took the opportunity to chide the Gold Logie-winning broadcaster for apparently being too soft on ISIS.
"No,” he initially offered, before continuing, “but it would be nice if Waleed actually condemned and didn't condone Islamic terrorism, wouldn't that be a good start?"
Now, if only there was evidence to the contrary. Oh, wait…
Senator Roberts followed up his appearance on The Project with this Tweet.
On the same program, The Project’s panel offered some relief from the race-baiting comments with an interview of new Bachelorette, Georgia Love. Australia, Australia, this is you.
