Olympians Are Abusing Their 'Free Maccas' Privileges; Now Limited To 20 Items Per Order

They’re lovin’ it.
Carbo-loading athletes are taking advantage of the free McDonald’s on offer at the Olympic Village; so much so, Maccas has begun limiting the number of items they can order.
According to The Washington Post, athletes and coaches are now limited to 20 items per person, per visit.
There is a loophole, however, for any such Olympian who absolutely needs that 21st item: any order of more than 20 items will drop in priority, and the wait times are already fairly massive.
Earlier this week, Aussie badminton player Sawan Serasinghe loaded up on an absurd number of burgers, fries and nuggets following his loss to Chinese Taipei. He also lifted up his shirt, to indicate that yes, he has abs, so leave him alone.
So, why are these fitness freaks going gaga for Maccas (besides their ability to finally eat what they like after four sustained years of portion control)?
Turns out the Olympic Village, where approximately 10,000 Olympians reside, isn’t flush with food options. Besides a poorly reviewed cafeteria inside a “big tent” and a Brazilian “casual dining restaurant”, McDonald’s is the only reliable eatery.
At least this Maccas comes with Brazilian delicacies, like cheese bread and cherry tomatoes (tomatinhos).
It’s helping some Olympians, like American rugby player Jessica Javalet, to justify their meals.
“I got a chicken sandwich,” she told the Post. “So, you know, it was healthy.”
