#NutellaGate: Nutella Changed Its Recipe and Purists Are Destroyed

Everyone's favourite chocolate spread has undergone a flavour makeover.
The popular adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is resonating with the majority of Nutella fans after the popular hazelnut-chocolate spread announced it had changed its special formula.
The Hamburg Consumer Protection Center investigated claims that the spread had changed its recipe and found that Nutella had added skimmed milk powder and dropped the amount of cacao.
Nutella has now confirmed the dreaded news to Nutella-holics around the world.
This was understood to mean more sugar and less cacao (as was found in the investigation): a dangerous two-pronged attack that threatens to shake the very foundations Nutella-mania is built on.
Nutella later denied that they had added more sugar. Mamma mia!
Still, a lot of feelings were shared around on this.
I just got a headache and stomach ache thinking about #Nutella adding in more sugar to their product. #NutellaGate pic.twitter.com/rF13UrO6Gw
