Now Sonia Kruger Is Against A Scholarship For LGBTQI Students

Ideas machine Sonia Kruger has described a scholarship for LGBTQI students as “reverse discrimination” on Today Extra.

Her latest protest comes just weeks after she supported a potential ban of Muslim migrants to Australia.

Speaking on Channel Nine’s morning program, she argued the Australian Business and Community Network Scholarship Foundation’s plan to help lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, questioning and intersex students was “odd”.

According to the Daily Mail, the ABCN’s scholarship form provides $7000 over three years to assist students with financial hardships to pay for study resources.

She conceded that the trans community is a “minority… who suffer”, but maintained her stance that “scholarships should be given on merit.”

Though, as David Campbell, the increasing voice of reason pointed out, “there are tons of other scholarships for students who are supremely talented - football and basketball scholarships - and I think that major companies identifying the… LGTBQI community... and saying, ‘We’re gonna help you with one scholarship,’ I hardly think that’s a big deal.”

The scholarship is open to Year 10 students aged 15 or 16.
