Nintendo Just Dropped "Pokémon Go" In Australia And New Zealand And Nowhere Else

Pokémon Go has, Beyoncé -style, been dropped on unsuspecting gamers weeks before its scheduled release.

B-b-bonus: The early release is seemingly just for Australians and New Zealanders.

A Nintendo Australia rep confirmed to Mashable Australia that the game was officially available in AU/ NZ, but could not comment on its availability elsewhere.

A Wall Street Journal reporter, however, reached out to Pokémon Co., and was told that U.S. and Japanese customers would need to "wait for a while".

Aussies, you can now download Pokémon Go from Apple's App Store or on Google Play.

The game allows you to find Pokémon in the real world, with the help of your phone's GPS.

It's free to download, but you'll need to pay for PokéCoins if you wish to spend any cash within the Poké-verse.
