Nicki Minaj Just Sent Fans Into a Crocs Buying Frenzy With an Instagram Post

Demand for pink Crocs crashed their website.

A story that I didn’t quite expect to see today when I woke up was Nicki Minaj’s Instagram post of her wearing Crocs, sending fans into a buying frenzy that crashed Crocs’ website.

Yep, you read that right.

The 38-year-old rapper posed for the camera in nothing but a hot pink pair of Crocs, and a couple of love heart-shaped pillows covering the rest of her body.

Of course, the star had to accessorise in the only way she knows how: with some serious Chanel double-C bling draped over her ankle and Crocs.

To make this story all the better it’s been reported that Crocs had a mega 4,900 per cent spike in sales of pink Crocs, which then led to the website crashing because of the high traffic.

I really don’t know what to say.

Last year the shoe company had their best sales performance ever, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and Crocs CEO Andrew Rees says they want this to continue.

“Amidst a global pandemic in 2020, we will deliver the strongest revenue in Crocs’ history,” the CEO said in a statement.

“Our brand momentum is exceptional, and we anticipate another record year in 2021.”

Since most of us have been restricted to our house at some point in the last 12 months, it’s no surprise people didn’t care about looks anymore and went for the famously comfortable Crocs.

This popularity is also boosted by other celebs like Justin Bieber, Post Malone and Bad Bunny all working alongside Crocs in one way or another over the last year.

It’s still not clear if Minaj has made a similar deal with the polarising shoe company, but what is clear is damn this girl loves the colour pink and anything that Chanel makes.

Whether you love Crocs or hate them, you gotta admit they’re doing something right if we all know about them.
