New Zealand's Naughtiest Penguin Has Been Exposed for Stealing and Pushing Other Penguins

At an aquarium in New Zealand, the behaviour of their resident penguins is evaluated and judged each month depending on how naughty and nice they’ve been.

This week, the aquarium named their naughtiest penguin for the month of June: Timmy. Betty, however, was commended on her good girl behaviour.

Timmy’s wrongdoings included trying to steal fish from other penguins' mouths (dog move) and pushing the other penguins out of the way. Don’t believe us? See the evidence below.

While this doesn’t excuse Timmy’s naughty behaviour, it seems he attended the School of Hard Knocks.

His backstory is, in fact, quite tragic. Timmy was found, unable to walk, on a beach in Hawke’s Bay and was taken to the aquarium for rehabilitation.

After regular visits with the chiropractor, he’s finally able to walk again, albeit with a bit of a wobble.

Alongside his newfound wobbling abilities has come a penchant for pushing over the other penguins.

There's no word yet on whether he will be punished for his crimes.
