My Crazy First World Problems

My Crazy First World Problems

I love my life. However, your circumstances are really put into perspective when you go through the following in a matter of just one day;

1. 8:30am: I tried to spread cold butter on my toast and the bread ripped.

2. 10:00am: My wallet became far too heavy to carry as it contained the many coins I had just received as change from buying clothes that are appropriate to wear overseas.

3. 11:45: I had to make two trips carrying the groceries inside.

4. 12:30pm: I have no place to put my leftovers from lunch because I have too much food in my fridge.

5. 3:00pm: I rented a movie online but it didn't load until it was time for my favourite T.V show.

6. 3:10pm: I found too many un-popped kernels in my popcorn.

7. 3:15pm: It was such a nice day outside that the sun caused glare on my T.V.

8. 6:00pm: I lost my phone and it happened to be on silent.

9. 8:00pm: I went to listen to music but my head phones were in a big knot.

10. 10:30pm: I couldn't sleep because under the blankets it was too hot and above the blankets it was too cold.

These are some of the slightly frustrating, however mostly petty problems that first world-ers (me included) complain about having daily.

When you compare these situations to hunger, rape, disease and terrorism you do realise that - even though you had to throw out your left overs, carry some groceries and deal with some glare - you have never had real problems.
