Help! I’m Addicted To Technology

Is technology crippling you?

Open my eyes and what do I see?

One of life's requirements lying next to me!

Scrolling through twitter and Instagram in bed,

Plop! - Ugh, it dropped on my head!

Towards the toilet there I go,

Coming with, my favourite beau.

I check Facebook while brushing my teeth,

Dear o dear, I spilt water underneath!

I head for breakfast with my phone in hand,

Watching some music videos of my favourite band

Back to my room, off we go,

Picking up my other techno -

Bigger screen and better view,

Lying on my side, holding it askew

I connect with besties while talking to old friends,

Sometimes surfing the net, looking at trends

I look through the window and see the moon,

Oh how much time flies, it’s been too soon

Laptop dies so I tiptoe towards my phone,

Swapping the two best thing I own.

Before I sleep I think about my life,

Do I even have one? - feeling strife :(

Reality hit me, as hard as a stone,

Just realised, I NEED to put down my phone

I need to socialise in reality,

Follow my conscious guided by morality

I must admit, yes I love technology

To the point that I scream -

Help! I'm addicted to technology!
