Must Watch: Eagles Of Death Metal Speak About The Bataclan Shooting

A lengthy video interview with Eagles of Death Metal sees the band members recount the grisly, disturbing, yet occasionally inspirational events that transpired in Paris on November 13 .

In the clip, published by VICE, band members Jesse Hughes, Eden Galindo, Matt McJunkins, Julian Doro and Dave Catching share, for the first time, their personal experiences of the terror attacks.

On November 13, assailants descended on the Bataclan theatre, killing 89 patrons including EODM's merchandise manager Nick Alexander. Further attacks on the surrounding streets of Paris led to a total death toll of 130.

The rest of the band managed to escape with their lives, but as the VICE interview demonstrates, not without emotional scars.

A teaser released last week saw Hughes and bandmate Josh Homme (also of Queens of the Stone Age, and not present at the Bataclan) reflecting on the event.

It was an emotional watch. Fair warning: The complete 26-minute VICE interview is even more difficult to sit through.

In it, they detail the bloodshed but also the acts of heroism by band-members and concertgoers that ultimately saved lives.

Be advised, on account of the coarse language and the harrowing nature of the attacks, described in detail, we highly recommend parental guidance for anyone under the age of 15.

Though the band's future live performances are on hold, the members have expressed a desire to return to music someday soon.

"Music is what we do," McJunkins explained.

"It's our lives and there's no way we're not going to keep doing it. But hearing from people and hearing their stories, we don't want that to stop. Anyone who wants to reach out to us, they are welcome anytime. Playing every night, and seeing those smiling faces out in the crowd, that's what keeps us going. That's what makes us play a show.  That's why we play. And there's no way we're not going to keep doing that again, because we all need it."
