Chilling Footage Emerges Of First Gunshots From The Bataclan Theatre

Footage has emerged from the moment gunshots rang out in Paris’ Bataclan Theatre over the weekend.

Concertgoer Sebastian Snow captured the terrifying moment at the Eagles of Death Metal concert on his phone. In this short clip uploaded to Instagram, the band’s performance of “Kiss the Devil” is interrupted by the alarming, unmistakable sound of gunfire.

Though there is nothing graphic in the video itself, it is nonetheless highly disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised.

To date, 89 people have been confirmed dead following the attack on the Bataclan Theatre, including Eagles of Death Metal merchandise manager Nick Alexander.

Australian Emma Parkinson, 19, was shot in the hip after attempting to exit the theatre, but has recovered from surgery and is expected to leave hospital “relatively soon”, according to Australia’s ambassador to France, Stephen Brady.

A number of cultural hubs were targeted by attackers on Friday evening, including the Stade de France, where France was playing Germany (with President François Hollande in attendance), as well as several bars and restaurants.

To date, the death toll stands at 129, with hundreds more wounded.

The seven terrorists responsible for the carnage died on the scene, most from suicide vests.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the terror attack. The French Air Force has since responded by bombing an IS command post, munitions depot and training camp in Syria.

The attack on Paris followed a double suicide assault by ISIS in Beirut on Thursday, in which at least 41 people were killed.

More news as it develops.
