Mucked Up: 22 Prefects “Resign” From Sydney School After Police Are Called on Year 12 Muck-Up Day

Almost two dozen Year 12 school leaders have solemnly handed in their prefect ties after a muck-up day got out of hand.
According to the Wentworth Courier, up to 110 students at the prestigious Scots College in NSW were involved in what Principal Ian Lambert described as “an unsanctioned muck-up day”.

Per the report, the outgoing students apparently “ran amok through local streets” last Friday, gathering in a local park before “descending on the school grounds” to overturn seating and hurl watermelon, flour and eggs. Police were quickly called.
This Tuesday, 22 prefects “resigned” and gave their ceremonial notice by handing their prefect ties back to Dr. Lambert, writing in a joint letter that they were "sincerely sorry".
"As leaders of the Year 12 cohort, it was our duty to stop the immature and thoughtless actions that defied not only the College’s trust in us, but the trust of our peers, staff and the broader Scots Community," it said.
Dr. Lambert has said "five to 10 students will receive suspensions" as a result of the muck-up day gone wrong. Some students may also have to take their HSC exams at an "alternate examination location". Also, many of the Year 12’s end-of-year events have been reportedly canceled.
Congratulations to the graduating class?
