Michael Cera Will Be (LEGO) Robin To Will Arnett's (LEGO) Batman

Arrested Development’s worst uncle (and that is one tough competition) will be reunited with his onscreen nephew in Lego Batman, THR reports.

Michael Cera will play Robin to Will Arnett’s Batman in the animated spin-off to 2014’s beloved – and yet cruelly Oscar-snubbed! Why God? Why?!  – The Lego Movie.

Hey, we know he has the physique for the part, animated or not.

Chris McKay will direct the flick, which we’re betting will be a heap more entertaining than the glummer-than-Vera Drake­-seeming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Seth Grahame-Smith, the dude responsible for writing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, has penned the script.

Stewards of the original Lego Movie, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will only act as producers here, busy as they are with some space film.

Note that The Lego Movie is getting its own official sequel too, though you’ll have to wait for 2018 to see that.

At least Lego Batman arrives in 2017.
