Meryl Streep Dons “Orangeface” And Fat Suit For Latest Acting Challenge: Donald Trump

If only the video quality was better. Sad!
In a performance that is sure to be reviewed in 140 incomprehensible characters on Donald Trump’s Twitter account, Meryl Streep impersonated the presumptive Republican presidential candidate at New York’s Public Theatre today.
Streep adorned herself in Trump’s iconic outfit for a sing-off with Christine Baranski, playing Hillary Clinton (the presumed Democratic presidential nominee).

Meryl Streep just performed at the Public Theater gala dressed in full Donald Trump, including orangeface, wig, and fat suit. Oh my god 🙌🏻

It was part of the theatre’s annual gala, this year titled The United States of Shakespeare.
If only William Shakespeare could have conjured a figure as regal as Donald J. Trump…
Forgive the video quality. No one at the Public Theatre could have anticipated the beauty that was about to unfold before them.
Here's what they were covering, btw.
Can you win an Oscar for one-off, orange-faced live performances? Surely there's a Tony in it for Meryl, at least.
