Marvel Star Jonathan Majors Was Arrested on Saturday

There have been recent updates regarding Majors’ alleged charges for assault.

Rising Hollywood star Jonathan Majors has been incredibly popular this year - his latest roles as Marvel’s new big villain ‘Kang the Conqueror’ in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the antagonist in Creed III have put him in the spotlight for his well-reviewed performances.

However last weekend, Majors has been gaining media attention – but not for good reason.

According to USA TODAY, Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City on Saturday morning. He was allegedly arrested on multiple charges, including assault and aggravated harassment.

The police stated that Majors was placed into custody without incident, and the 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

However, Major’s attorney Priya Chaudhry told USA TODAY in a statement that he ‘has done nothing wrong’.

Since the news of the arrest broke out, Broadway director Tim Nicolai spoke out on Twitter claiming that Jonathan Majors has been known as a ‘sociopath and abuser’ within Yale and the New York community.

The events of this story have now taken a turn, with the latest update coming from BuzzFeed, reporting early this morning that the woman has now recanted her allegations.

Major’s attorney told USA TODAY that Majors is 'completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows'.

Chaudhry stated that she was submitting video footage, witness testmonies, and two written statements from the woman as evidence.

She added that the woman ‘was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday’.

We’ll have to wait and see what other info comes from this story, but we predict we won’t be hearing from or seeing Jonathan Majors any time soon.

The U.S. Army has already pulled an ad featuring him and - as you can expect - people are waiting for Marvel to make a statement to see what lies ahead for the actor’s future.

It’s obviously the least important thing to focus on, but that’s internet just being the internet.
