Brace Yourself: Marvel Has Another 20 Movies Up Its Sleeve

But after the Avengers 4 comes out, things are going to become "completely different".

"You know what the world really needs right now? More superhero movies," is a phrase that has definitely never been uttered anywhere in the real world, but it's going to happen over the next decade.

Kevin Feige, film producer and president of Marvel Studios, told Vanity Fair that there's at least another 20 Marvel flicks in the works. Yikes.

"[Marvel is] 22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before—intentionally," Feige said. 

But, look, while that's a daunting figure, we've got to be thankful for a few things. First of all, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the more critically-acclaimed and popular of the superhero universe-rivalry (Sorry, DC). Secondly, there's an end in sight.

Feige admits there will be two phases for the Marvel Universe: a before and after 2019's Avengers 4.

"[Marvel will] bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale," Feige explains. "I know it will not be in ways people are expecting."

Does this mean superheroes can actually die? I guess you'll have to wait patiently for each movie to trickle through over the next decade. 

Strap yourselves in, it's going to be a long ride.
