Lorde Had the Flu So She Interpretive Danced Her Way Through Her VMA Performance

Everyone was a little freaked out by Lorde's eclectic VMA performance, but she had a good excuse.
Lorde entered the stage with a boombox which began playing "Homemade Dynamite" after she set it down.
What followed was three minutes and 29 seconds of Lorde's own brand of interpretive dance void of any actual singing. It was an iconic moment at this year's MTV VMA.
Here's a preview of how it went down.

People were rightly confused.

But she explained on Twitter that she had a strain of the flu so bad that she actually needed an IV.

Let's be honest though, she was probably always going to perform it like this, half-alive or not. She's a kooky kween.
She was nominated for Artist of the Year at the 2017 VMA's alongside Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars, but lost out Ed Sheeran.
Thankfully, you can learn the moves below.
