Lorde and New Zealand's PM Are "Mutual Fangirls" for Each Other

I want to move to New Zealand.

At the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, Lorde was announced as the winner of the People's Choice Award by New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern.

But when the two met on stage, we became the real winners.

They embraced and Lorde proceeded to praise Ardern for being young and articulate.

"I am so happy to have such an articulate, exciting, young, beautiful leader in our country," Lorde said as she accepted the award. "I can't believe you're at the New Zealand Music Awards. This is, like, a big deal for music."

Ardern hit her with a right-back-at-ya: "Presenting to you is a big deal. Mutual fangirl."

The moment was so beautiful, it's already been immortalised as a GIF.

Naturally, it made the two even more lovable.

my forever mood is lorde gushing about jacinda ardern while accepting the award for people's choice
