Listen To Sia's New Song "Alive", All About Adele

Prepare to reboot your karaoke playlist.

Sia has released the first song from her upcoming album This Is Acting, the follow-up to her best-selling 1000 Forms of Fear.

And it. is. a. belter.

The new single, “Alive”, gives Ms Furler ample opportunity to show off her pipes, particularly in the gargantuan chorus.

Most interesting about it is the fact it’s been written from the perspective of Adele. (The track was even co-written by Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr.)

In fact, as Sia confirmed to Zane Lowe on Beats1, all of This Is Acting will be made up of songs about other artists, including Rihanna (for whom she penned “Diamonds”), Beyoncé (likewise, “Pretty Hurts”) and Katy Perry.

So, since we haven’t heard any new musical updates from Adele in years – and we’re presuming “Skyfall”, her last single, wasn’t exactly a personal work – listen to “Alive” to hear how she’s been doing.
