Linkin Park's Lead Singer, Chester Bennington, Dies at Age 41

Trigger warning: This article discusses suicide.

News has broken this morning that Linkin Park's frontman, Chester Bennington, has died at age 41 in his Los Angeles home. Bennington was found dead in his home from an apparent suicide and leaves behind six children and his wife, Talinda.

Linkin Park made their break in 2000 with their hit "One Step Closer". Their debut album, Hybrid Theory, sold more than 10 million units, and their sophomore, Meteora, sold four million.

Bennington's death comes just months after his close friend Chris Cornell, from Audioslave and Soundgarden, died by suicide following a Soundgarden performance.

Bandmate Mike Shinoda took to Twitter to confirm the news.

RIP Chester.
