The Future Is Now: Watch The Lexus Hoverboard In Action

They made a hoverboard… out of a Lexus?
Kinda. The luxury car manufacturer has answered the prayers of many a Back to the Future fan by creating a legit, working, honest-to-goodness hoverboard.
Before you start day-dreaming about taking it for a spin in your own backyard, there’s a catch.
The board is embedded with liquid-nitrogen-cooled superconductors that allow it to levitate above magnets; meaning, it’ll only work on a path littered with magnets, and those types of path aren't super common (at least, not near my house).
But Lexus, anticipating our scepticism, went and built a magnetic skatepark in Barcelona.
Yes. Magnets, who have already given us so much, just helped bring us closer to hoverboards.

(Good luck explaining this all to the Insane Clown Posse.)
