Confused? Leonardo DiCaprio Takes on Leonardo da Vinci in Upcoming Biopic

A common confusion for many of our childhoods has now become a reality.
Today, it was revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio (the actor) will play Leonardo da Vinci (the Renaissance man) in an upcoming biopic.
Get your head around it ASAP, because, yes, it's happening.

As the legend goes, DiCaprio's mother named the then-unborn Leonardo after the famous Renaissance painter/inventor/all-around genius when she felt DiCaprio's first kick while viewing one of da Vinci's works.
Fast forward to 2017 and now, after an intense bidding war, Deadline is reporting that Paramount has won the rights to produce Walter Isaacson’s book Leonardo da Vinci into a biopic starring none other than adult DiCaprio as da Vinci.
It's not yet known why DiCaprio was automatically selected for the role other than a suspicion that the film studios are playing a moderately amusing practical joke on us all.
Apparently, I'm not alone in this confusion.
Apparently Leonardo DiCaprio is starring in a bio pic of Leonardo Da Vinci, as if it wasn't already so difficult to tell the two apart
