Kylie Jenner's Cornrows Just Started An Instagram War

Rue from The Hunger Games has taken aim at Kylie Jenner for appropriating black culture in a recent Instagram post.

Actress Amandla Stenberg, 16, was inspired to fire the first shots in this budding feud after 17-year-old Jenner posted a selfie of herself with a cornrow wig.

I woke up like disss

"[W]hen u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter," commented Stenberg.

This subject is especially close to Stenberg's heart. She previously posted the video 'Don't Cash Crop On My Cornrows' to YouTube in April.

Jenner, however, was unmoved by Stenberg's comments.

"Mad if I don't, Mad if I do.... Go hang w Jaden or something," she responded.

Stenberg had attended prom with Jaden Smith earlier in the year (though sadly, not the time he wore a Batman cape).

What are your thoughts? Does Jenner need to take responsibility for her actions and show some wider cultural awareness?

We standla with Amandla.
