Kid Cudi Returns To The Scene A Month After Checking Into Rehab For Depression

It's official: Kid Cudi has returned and his welcome party looked pretty awesome.

It's been just over a month since rapper Kid Cudi announced he was seeking treatment for "depression and suicidal urges".

Last night he surprised fans by making his first public appearance since checking into rehab, Pitchfork reports.

Cudi made his appearance at ComplexCon in Long Beach - and he wasn't alone either.

Much to the surprise of concertgoers there were some special guest appearances from Pharrel Williams and Travis Scott, who joined the rapper on brand new tracks "Surfin" and "Through the Late Night".

He performed a set of songs including: "Pursuit of Happiness", "The Frequency" and "Erase Me."

In early October, Kid Cudi made the announcement of his hiatus to fans on his Facebook page. "It's been difficult for me to find the words to what I'm about to share with you because I feel ashamed. Ashamed to be a leader and hero to so many while admitting I've been living a lie," he wrote.

"It took me a while to get to this place of commitment, but it is something I have to do for myself, my family, my best friend/daughter and all of you, my fans. Yesterday I checked myself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges."

Everyone (well, most everyone) is super stoked he's back. He literally looks as though he's beaming.
