Kendall Jenner Says She "Felt So F***ing Stupid" for Being In That Pepsi Ad

Kendall Jenner has finally spoken out about her woefully misguided Pepsi-protest ad, saving her response for an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, obvs.

According to Buzzfeed, the latest episode of the show’s 14th (14th!) season opened with Kendall calling half-sisters Kourtney and Khloé in the midst of the controversy to say she feels bad about the backlash.

In a direct address to camera, Kendall then explained what was running through her head when she agreed to participate in an ad that suggested all it took to quiet America’s festering racial tensions was a cool refreshing soda.

"When I first got this offer... I mean, it's a huge company," she said.

"The people I was following were so iconic and amazing. Michael Jackson has done it, Britney Spears has done it, Beyoncé has done it, Pink. The list goes on. So, to get something like that was just... It was so exciting."

However, it wasn’t until after the ad was released—and the backlash began—that Kendall saw the error of her ways. (It took exactly one day for Pepsi to pull the ad.)

"After I saw the reaction and I read what people had to say about it, I most definitely saw what went wrong," she said.

"I was so stuck, and I really didn't know what to do, and I completely shut down."

Later, a crying Kendall admitted she "just felt so f***ing stupid."

"I would never purposely hurt someone, ever, and if I knew this would've been the outcome I never would've done something like this."

However, sage guardian Kim ultimately convinced Kendall this was a teachable moment.

"It should affect you in a way where you grow from it, and become a better person from it," Kim told Kendall.

"I just wish that you could see that there's light at the end of the tunnel, and that it will be OK if you're just honest and open."

Not bad advice.
