Watch The Kates From “The Katering Show” (And Stephen Colbert) Spoof Depp & Heard’s Apology Video

Johnny Depp’s crestfallen apology to Australia has been regarded as the actor’s least sincere performance since, well, his last movie.

But, it’s also been called his funniest work in years. (Take that, Mortdecai!)

Now, even the hilarious Kates from ABC’s The Katering Show are taking inspiration from Depp and his wife, Amber Heard, for their own video apology.

In it, Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney explain why international viewers have to wait a little longer before getting to watch Season Two of their off-kilter cooking show. (Basically, ABC offered them “a lot of money” to keep it exclusive to iView for a spell; enough money to hopefully pay an exterminator to deal with McCartney's terrifying-sounding rat infestation.)

FYI, there’s a little bit of coarse language below, but what did you expect?
