You'll Have To Wait Until 2018 For That "Jurassic World" Sequel

They held off until it became the third highest grossing film of all time, but Universal has finally made it official: a sequel to Jurassic World is happening.
Though this announcement is entirely of the 'no doy' variety, this is the first concrete news we've had on a follow-up to the dino-blockbuster.
Universal will drop the film into cinemas June 22, 2018, and yes, both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return to star.
(Though, we have to assume Howard's scenes will all take place in prison, because there is no way someone responsible for a series of dinosaur-related murders at a theme park doesn't go to prison for life.)
Director Colin Trevorrow will co-write the screenplay with Derek Connolly. However, it's not known if Trevorrow will return to helm (an especially unlikely scenario if he ends up getting the coveted Star Wars: Episode IX gig, as has been heavily rumoured).
Steven Spielberg will be back as producer, because who would walk away from those fat Jurassic stacks?
