Jurassic World Made All The Money; Now Watch Some Cats Take Over Jurassic Park

Did you see Jurassic World over the weekend? Who are we kidding? Of course you did!

The hotly-anticipated sequel grossed US$511.8 million worldwide over the weekend, making it the first movie to crack US$500 million at the global box office upon its debut.

Its record for the highest world-wide opening of all time was assisted by its record-breaking bow in the U.S., where it’s flirting with The Avengers’ title-holding opening weekend of US$207 million. In China, the film made more than US$100 million.

With this much money in the bank already, the Colin Trevorrow-directed flick could be on track to become the highest grossing film of all time. (Let’s not forget Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park originally achieved that feat in 1993, before Titanic came along and swept it away.)

Still, the below video has us wondering if a Jurassic World entirely overtaken by cats couldn't have pushed those grosses to even greater heights.

With star Chris Pratt supposedly signed on for another “38 movies or something,” we can only hope that the next genetically-modified dinosaur for him to wrangle is part-feline.

He’d probably have better luck with the raptors.
