Jordan Raskopoulos On The Axis Of Awesome’s Viral “Elephant In The Room”: “I Think We Kind Of Nailed It”

“It’s time to address the rumour. Do it with a sense of humour.”

Earlier this year, Jordan Raskopoulos answered fan queries about her missing beard with a video in which she revealed that she was, in fact, a transgender woman.

(Though, she still had a bit of fun with it, paraphrasing Hagrid: “I’m a woman, Harry.”)

Having dealt with gender dysphoria ever since she was a kid, Jordan finally began the transition process in March of 2015.

Now, her musical-comedy trio The Axis of Awesome (responsible for the “Four Chords” song among countless other corkers) is back on the road with new album Viva La Vida Loca Las Vegas.

But Raskopoulos and her bandmates Benny Davis and Lee Naimo wondered how crowds would welcome the new change to their line-up. After all, Lee is bald now.

Check out our chat with Jordan, where she discusses the refreshing lack of “****heads” in the audience of their shows and the origin of their viral new show-opener, “The Elephant in the Room”, which answers all the questions fans have about Lee’s hairlessness. As Jordan puts it, “I think we kind of nailed it.”
