John Oliver's Children's Book About Mike Pence's "Gay Rabbit" Has Completely Sold Out

John Oliver's foray into telling satirical children's tales has truly paid off.

John Oliver's book, A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, is selling like hot cakes. It's so popular that it's completely sold out everywhere and is the number-one bestseller on Amazon right now.

The book is based on the American Vice President Mike Pence's real-life bunny, Marlon Bundo, and follows a day in his life as a gay rabbit who wants to marry his male partner.

So, how did this all happen?

Well, it all started when Pence's wife Karen and daughter Charlotte announced that they were releasing a children's book about a day in the life of Marlon Bundo, the BOTUS (bunny of the United States).

With Pence's history of supporting gay conversion therapy and being generally anti-LGBTQI rights, John Oliver, that scamp, decided to counteract this by writing his own LGBTQI-inclusive Marlon Bundo book.

Oliver went on The Ellen Show to explain that the proceeds of the book's sales will be going to two charities: The Trevor Project, which focuses on suicide prevention in LGBTQI youths, and AIDS United, who are dedicated to eliminating AIDS.

But, surprisingly, Charlotte Pence, took the parody pretty well. She went on Twitter to exclaim that two books for charity is better than one.
