Jessica Chastain Might Play Adult Beverly in "It" Sequel

Jessica Chastain might be the first pick to play adult Beverly (Sophia Lillis played teen Bev) in the follow-up to last year's It, Variety reports.

They revealed that "sources" have told them that discussions are being made but that it's still very early days. It's also rumoured that (shock!) Bill Skarsgård will reprise his role as the haunting killer clown, Pennywise.

This isn't the first time that we've heard that Chastain has been eyed for the role. Despite the obvious similarities in their physical appearance, last year, It's director and producer, Andy and Barbara Muschietti, admitted to Variety that they "would love her to play Beverly" and "it feels like the planets are aligned in that sense" because she also happens to love the movie.

The internet wishes it so too and when that happens, it's inevitable, right?

Well, that basically confirms it.

The sequel isn't set to hit cinemas for another year-and-a-half with the current date set for 6 September 2019.
