It’s Official: Foxtel Will Air "Arrested Development" Season 5 in Australia

**Foxtel to Netflix: Say goodbye to these (new eps of Arrested Development).**

Last month, we revealed that Netflix Australia would not debut the fifth season of Arrested Development in Australia on 29 May (as the trailers promised), because they do not hold the 'first-run' rights Down Under.

Today, local rights-holder Foxtel has officially announced they will premiere the show instead, with a marathon event on Wednesday 30 May from 5pm AEST on The Comedy Channel.

All eight episodes from the first part of Season 5 will play back-to-back during that marathon. Foxtel will then air the episodes weekly on Mondays at 9pm AEST from 4 June.

It’s not known when those eps will then be made available on Netflix. Same goes for the second part of the split fifth season, which doesn't have an international premiere date either.

Though Aussie Netflix users will be disappointed to learn they’re not getting their precious fix of Bluth dysfunction as part of their subscription, you can rest easy knowing AD is still coming to our shores.

Here's that trailer again.
