Let The iPet Companion Play With Your Pets For You

Some enterprising individuals want you to Kickstart a machine that will play with your animals while you’re at work.

Wait, let us explain.

The iPet Companion HomePlay would allow you to use an Internet-connected camera to watch your cat, dog, marmoset, what have you, while you’re away from the house.

An attached device will then follow your commands to wiggle a toy around or blow bubbles for the entertainment of your previously un-stimulated animal pal.

Before you get creeped out any further, it’s worth noting the iPet Companion has been used in animal shelters for years, to ensure abandoned strays are getting some much-needed attention.

Now it doesn't sound so bad, right? There's just one thing now standing between you and one of these products: $150,000. That's how much the iPet team need to reach on Kickstarter before these go into production for mass consumption.

If this thing eventually gets off the ground, those with iPet Companions will be able to stream their animals’ activities publicly (if you’re into that sort of thing).

iPet Companion’s founder Scott Harris has high hopes for his invention, as he told The Huffington Post, including, maybe, this technology one day assisting in human surgeries.
