Iceland’s President Thinks Pineapple Definitely Doesn’t Belong on Pizzas

Look, it’s a polarising question: Does pineapple belong on pizza?
Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, the president of Iceland, says nope, absolutely not.
Taking questions from students at a high school in North Iceland, one student asked the president what his thoughts were on pineapple as a pizza topping. (Clearly, the kid has their priorities sorted.)
Rather than giving an “on the fence” kind of answer, the president went in.
He said, given the power to pass laws, he’d ban it across the land.
Unsurprisingly, passionate supporters of pineapple on pizzas were quick to defend their beloved topping.
Pure sick of people slating pineapple on pizza like it's mint

Others thought the president took one for the team.

The real question is do you like pizza on your pineapple? pic.twitter.com/q7hO2JsmxU
