If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that being a student isn’t exactly easy.
Between constantly motivating yourself to study, balancing your social life with schoolwork, and absorbing new information every single day, it’s no wonder that you feel like your brain might explode from time to time.
That’s why it’s important to access all the resources you can to make your student journey as smooth as humanly possible.
Well, that's where Today at Apple's Student Skills comes in. Student Skills is a collection of free sessions to help you sharpen your skills, get more from your favourite Apple devices and learn productivity hacks, so you'll be able to tackle everything school throws at you.

Take your group projects to the next level.
Let’s face it, we’ve all been part of a group assignment that has gone a little… haywire.
Whether you've formed a group with your pals, or your teacher has randomly thrown you all together, there are always a few challenges when it comes to working with classmates. After all, it can be pretty tough to apply everyone's different ideas.
However, group projects can be exceptionally rewarding when you unlock the perfect slide or chart that completely transforms your presentation. In fact, having the right tools can help your group discover your creative and collaborative potential.
As part of Today at Apple’s Open Studio, your group can bring your project into an Apple Store for a small session led by knowledgeable Apple Creatives. You’ll be able to take your project a step further by exploring how to use the Keynote app for more impactful presentations and enhance your visual storytelling using iMovie and Clips.
Basically, you’ll never dread a group project again (and you'll all absolutely ace that pesky Media presentation).

Up your note-taking game.
Note-taking is an art and mastering it takes time. Alternatively, you could speed things up by finding out how to study smarter in Open Studio: Notes and Pages.
If you’re one of those people who can’t understand their own notes, this one is for you. An Apple Creative can help you improve your note-taking and essay-writing workflows using the Notes and Pages apps. You’ll just head in-store and learn tips and tricks to increase your productivity on iPad or Mac.

Flex your creative muscles.
Who said you weren’t creative? Like anything, creativity is a skill that can be developed over time. Of course, it also comes in handy when you’re trying to boost your marks.
Learn to express your ideas in a more visual way using Apple Pencil and the Notes app on iPad with Art Skills: Sketching Ideas in Notes or get hands-on with editing techniques like trimming, timing and rhythm with Video Skills: Getting Started with iMovie.
Once you’ve found your creative flair, you’ll be able to think outside the box when it comes to assignments and group work.

Improve your skills on Apple devices.
If you've decided to treat yourself to a new Apple device to help you smash your studies this semester, you're probably still trying to wrap your head around exactly how to use it (don't worry, we've all been there).
Fortunately, you can learn everything you need to know about your new Apple device with Today at Apple's Skills sessions like Getting Started with Magic Keyboard for iPad, Discovering Apple Pencil, and Getting Started with iPad. You’ll learn to quickly capture your thoughts, draw beautiful lines and shapes, and get the most out of your Apple device.
Essentially, it’ll help you work a lot smarter.

Plus, the Getting Started with iPad and Getting Started with Mac sessions are offered virtually, so you can attend them from the comfort of your own home. Remember, you’ll have to wear a mask and practice social distancing at in-store sessions, considering we’re living through a global pandemic and everything.
It’s also important to note that for virtual Skills sessions, you’ll need your own Apple device to work on. You should definitely bring your own device along to in-store sessions, but you'll be able to test out another device if you want to (here's your chance to finally find out what working on a Mac is like).
So, there you have it. If you want to get ahead this semester, you can sign-up for a Today at Apple session here.
Today at Apple, free sessions in-store and online that inspire hands-on creativity in photography, art, design, coding, music and more. Brought to you by Apple.
