The 2021 FA Cup Final is coming at ya this Sunday, 16 May and it’s sure to be a killer match between a resurgent Chelsea and everyone’s favourite underdog, Leicester City.

Watching the Final has always been a little harder for anyone living in Australia, so we’ve done the research so you don’t have to.

What is the FA Cup?

The FA Cup is a knockout tournament open to any team in England regardless of whether they’re in the Premier League or all the way down in the 10th league of English football.

It started in 1871, making it the oldest national football competition in the world. Nice work, England.

Arsenal are the most recent winners of the FA Cup and also hold the record for most wins, lifting the trophy 14 times since the Cup began.

How do I watch the FA Cup Final in Australia?

Your best bet on watching the Final live is with sports streaming service Kayo Sports. They offer one-month plans from $25 or if you haven’t got an account with them yet, take advantage of their 14-day free trial. 

Other places to watch the FA Cup Final are Foxtel and Fetch TV.

Kick-off is on Sunday, 16 May at 2:15am AEST (12:15am AWST) so best get a cup of coffee or plan a cheeky nap beforehand.

Who is playing?

Chelsea and Leicester City will be fighting it out this year for the silverware at Wembley Stadium.

Both teams are sitting in the top four of the Premier League, with Leicester just above Chelsea in third.

Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel has resurrected the club’s form since taking over in January, losing only three times, the latest of which came last night against Arsenal.

Leicester on the other hand outlasted Manchester United two days ago thanks to goals from Luke Thomas and Çağlar Söyüncü (ngl, I looked up how to spell his name).

Both teams have a fantastic starting 11, so a classic game is almost a guarantee.

My money is on Leicester City to win with Jamie Vardy comin' in clutch for the winner.
