Swiping Left on Your Phone Plan? Here’s How to Pick the Perfect One for You

Reckon it's time to break up with your phone plan? Read on...

This post is presented in partnership with Circles.Life.

Adulting has well and truly entered the chat… We get it, picking a phone plan can be super overwhelming.

There are SO many options out there, so we often understandably just go with the one in front of us.

But the first option isn’t always the best option – you might be spending more than what you’re getting, or just not be on a phone plan that’s fit for you.

It’s important stuff, and we don’t want you getting ripped off. So, we’ve teamed up with our mates at Circles.Life to help you out, step by step.

Step one: Weigh up the pros and cons of a prepaid vs post-paid plan.

A prepaid plan is an up-front option, and it's ideal if you’re watching your budget and don't want to be locked in to set payments for a set amount of time.

You can’t spend more than what you pay upfront, so there are no surprises at the end of the month, and it's usually a BYO-phone-BYO-number sort of sitch, which is great if you don't want to be paying off a phone for two years.

Meanwhile, post-paid plans are billed monthly and usually come on a 12-24 month lock-in contract.

These plans tend to include extras like international calls, data-free streaming services, and the option to pay off a new phone. But, you might end up paying for more than what you’re actually using or needing.

Step two: Consider the middle ground - a post-paid plan that won't lock ya in.

Yep, this exists!

A post-paid phone plan with Circles.Life is epic because it’s got BIG data, little bills, and zero commitment.

It’s super budget-friendly too, with no hidden nasties. They’re data-focused (us too, queen!) with killer plan options that range from $10-$45, including between 50-160GB of data and unlimited talk and text.

You can BYO phone and number, too.

A great option for just paying for what you need, with a set amount each month to factor into the ol' budget.

Check the options below or head here.

Step three: Compare all the options side-by-side.

It's always a good time for a pros and cons list, bestie! And now that we've educated you on the options (ya welcome), it's time to weigh them up side-by-side.

If you're struggling, there are tonnes of places online to compare plans, like finder, which can be helpful.

Much to think about! But hopefully, we've made this decision that little bit easier for you.

Be sure to check out Circles.Life to find out more – they're a Telco with plans designed with YOU, the Main Character™, in mind.
