How to Deal With Stress During Exam and Assignment Time

Stress Less, Score More 💯
Exam and assignments can be incredibly stressful, so we’ve researched a few strategies for you to help you manage your stress and stay on time.
And remember, your feelings are valid, and you got this.
Manage your time
Start by listing out all the assignment and exams you have coming up. You can create a study schedule, so it is clear what needs to be done and when. Identify what needs to be done first and break it down into small yet manageable chunks. Doing everything at once will stress you out, so try and make things a little bit easier and organised for yourself.
Take it easy on yourself
It’s easy to be hard on yourself during these stressful times. It’s ok to struggle, you’re not alone.
Get into the habit of speaking positively to yourself. And treat yourself with kindness.
Take breaks when you need them and make sure you take the time to eat, drink water and exercise, even if it’s a quick 20 minute walk.
Make sure you aren’t sacrificing your sleep. Sleep is essential and helps us focus and concentrate better. Cramming an extra few hours of study in instead of sleeping is not worth it!
Optimise your study space
Messy and unorganised space = stress central.
A clean and organised study area will allow you to focus better.
Remove distractions (yes, including your phone), and create a space that makes you feel comfortable.
Create healthy connections
You could consider forming a study group with your friends or classmates. Studying with others can provide a support system and make you feel less alone.
Don’t hesitate to ask for help, whether it’s from friends, family or teachers. Sometimes just talking to someone can lighten your stress load.
