Gwyneth Paltrow Is Yet to See That “Spider-Man" Film She Didn’t Know She Was In

Somewhere, tiny Tom Holland’s heart is breaking.

Gwyneth Paltrow discovered she was a part of the Spider-Verse in the traditional way: years after filming her part in Spider-Man: Homecoming, while cooking with Jon Favreau on The Chef Show.

Watch the extremely pure exchange below.

Turns out Gwynnie didn’t realise she was reprising her role as Pepper Potts in Tom Holland’s first standalone Spidey movie, telling Jimmy Kimmel last night she thought she’d just filmed a cameo in another Avengers movie. (She wound up getting fourth billing, above Marisa Tomei, who played Aunt Freaking May.)

"I just got confused, there’s so many of these wonderful Marvel interconnecting movies," she explained.

However, when pressed by Kimmel about the embarrassing incident, Gwyneth accidentally confessed that she still hasn’t checked out her performance: "I never actually saw the movie."

Immediately realising the reaction this would generate online, she dropped a very un-Gwyneth, "S***".

Watch the second extremely pure exchange below (at 2:25).

She was on Kimmel to discuss her part in the new Netflix series The Politician, which, at the very least, she is aware exists and contains recorded footage of her performing.

Anyway, fingers crossed that the next Marvel movie that scores an appearance from Peter Parker is a Pepper Potts spin-off, in which she completely ignores his existence.
