Google Doodled Pad Thai on Their Home Page and Then 50,000 People Googled “What Is Pad Thai?”

Everybody loves a Google Doodle, but there’s no shame in not always knowing which ancient astrologer or random Celtic holiday they’re celebrating.
But not knowing pad thai? Surely that’s gotta be a crime somewhere.
Today’s Google Doodle showed a bunch of round figures cooking the Thai street dish. Why? Just because. No, really: One of Google’s resident Doodlers, referred to only as Juliana, recently cooked a pad thai and wanted to document her adventure. You go, Juliana.

However, the Doodle was abstract and random enough to cause a bunch of people to either hit the ‘Learn More’ tab or depressingly type the words “What is Pad Thai?” into their Google search bar.
As of this writing, it is the number one trending search on Google, with more than 50,000 searches.

On the one hand, congratulations to everyone who just learned what pad thai is. You’re going to love it.
On the other, what kind of dark, empty life have you lived thus far?
