Gold Coast Rapper Allegedly Skips Out on $600 Seafood Bill by Escaping Into the Sea

Every great rapper has an incredible origin story.

Eminem made his name by battle-rapping in Detroit.

Kanye West almost died in a car accident that required his jaw to be wired shut.

The members of NWA took inspiration from Eazy-E’s actual experiences on the street.

Gold Coast rapper Terry Peck, meanwhile, has made his name by allegedly dining and dashing on a $621 restaurant bill, and escaping from staff by running into the sea.

According to ABC News, 33-year-old Peck (he goes by 2pec) consumed two lobsters, 21 oyster shooters, a baby octopus and several beers at Main Beach’s Omeros Bros Restaurant in Queensland.

But instead of paying his $621 bill, he made a run for it by fleeing into the surf, a court has heard.

Police reportedly jumped onto a lifeguard’s jet ski to pursue Peck. They literally arrested him in the ocean.

Peck appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court today, charged with stealing as well as two counts of serious assault of a police officer.

The incident took place while Peck was on parole; he had been released from prison in February.

The rapper has been granted bail, on the condition that he never return to the restaurant.

He probably doesn't mind. Peck later told reporters outside court that the lobsters were "overcooked".
