Get Ready for More Gory, Awkward Humour Because "Zombieland 2" Is Coming

But, most importantly, will Bill Murray come back to life for Zombieland 2?
While zombie movies are so passé, there's still a special place in our heart for Zombieland, the film that seamlessly melded the quirky humour of the mid-2000s with relatively digestible zombie-splattering scenes.
Well, next October, Zombieland becomes a pre-teen, turning 10-years-old, and one of the screenwriters, Paul Wernick, has revealed they're planning a serious celebration to the tune of a full-length movie.
"We're going on the tenth anniversary of Zombieland," Wernick told Vulture.
"We don't know what you get someone for their tenth anniversary, but it may be a Zombieland 2."

And if you're wondering whether we'll see Emma Stone and then-small child Abigail Breslin take up their old roles again, Wernick confirmed that they would: "With the original cast, by the way."
We wonder if that extends to zombie Bill Murray though?
Unfortunately, however, he confirmed that the plan is to start shooting in early 2019 with a release date later that year.
So, start working on your Twinkies collection now, because it's still a full year-and-a-half away from rising from the dead.
