Forget Your Packed Lunch ‘Cos Woolies Is Now Selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Treat yo' self.

Woolies customers in New South Wales are about to be the luckiest people in Australia because six of their Metro stores are trialling Krispy Kreme doughnuts in both original glazed and assorted flavours.

Woolworths Bondi Beach, Paddington, Padstow, Potts Point, Randwick and Surry Hills will start selling three and nine packs for all varieties of the glazed goodies.

It’s a little pricey at $8 for a three-pack and $18 for a nine-pack of original glazed, but I mean, they are Krispy Kremes. The mixed flavours will set you back $10 for a three-pack and $23 for a nine-pack.

"Delivered fresh daily, the range includes our World Famous Original Glazed doughnut as well as a selection of our Assorted doughnuts including Choc Iced Sprinkles and Kookies n Kreme that we know will bring smiles to many Woolworths customers," said a spokesperson for Krispy Kreme.

While this is very exciting news for Sydneysiders, this is actually a really smart move from Woolies considering their timing. Right now, it’s kind of hard to get your hands on Krispy Kremes 'cos most outlets are in airports or busy city areas, and thanks to COVID, those places are not so easy to get to.

Aside from the fact they're hard to find, I’m sure some of us are looking for a little something to get us through this absolute joke of a year, and hey, there's nothing like comfort food.

Ahem, Coles it’s your move.

Australia’s obsession with Krispy Kreme doughnuts knows no bounds, especially considering people from Perth used to literally cart boxes of the doughnuts by plane, before they got their own store in 2014.

Because Woolies is only stocking the goods for a limited time, we are relying on NSW to make this a permanent addition (no pressure).

The success of the trial will be based on customer feedback, so get in there and let Woolies know we want them to stay (and to come to all states please and thanks).
