Finally, Justice For Barb As "Stranger Things" Actor Receives an Emmy Nomination

She may have been unfairly taken by the Demogorgon, but the Saint of All High School Geeks, Barbara Holland, has nabbed an Emmy nomination.

Rejoice: there is justice after all. Appearing in the "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series" category, Barb (real name: Shannon Purser) will have to fight in a pretty tough category against Alexis Bledel in The Handmaid's Tale and Laverne Cox in Orange Is The New Black.

Her chances are slim, but that's the not the point.

If you're scratching your head over why Barbara is such a beloved character of the show, despite [SPOILER ALERT] only appearing in the first few episodes, it's because she represented the uncool, but very caring friend in high school.

Her invisibility in life and in death made the whole situation much more tragic. Hence: #JusticeForBarb.

People. Freaked. Out.

Others were a bit confused (and mad) as to why an actress, that appeared for a ridiculously short amount of time, got a nomination.

But, whatever haters. This is an achievement for all the Barbs out there.
